Whew! I just finished listening to Alma 5, and it was quite intense. I prefer to read instead of listen to the scriptures, but this move has not been kind to my awesome habit. So tonight I listened and folded laundry.
Points that I did catch is Alma gave up his judge seat to go out and chastise the people because they had strayed so bad. People that weren't of the church wouldn't even consider the church because church members acted so badly. This pretty much covers chapter 4.
Chapter 5 has the popular, maybe even scripture mastery verse that says do you see his image in your countenance? The chapter seemed to have questions for those on the right path, and people who know they are wicked.
I think my favorite question went something like this, "do you feel that you are worthy enough to say you deserve to go to the same place as Abraham, or President Hinckley?" such an interesting thought. Could you say I deserve to be there too.
I'll need to physically read that chapter and write more.
