I'm in a ranting mood. :P
And things seem to be just tying together today with this thought.
Today for Sunday School I sat in nursery with Coby and got to hear a very brief lesson given to 18 month olds. It went like this. Can you see this picture? It's Joseph Smith with Heavenly Father and Jesus. They look like us. Where's your head? Do Jesus and Heavenly Father have heads? Where's your arms?....
Very basic and so true.
So tonight I was reading in Alma 22 and some of the sons of king Mosiah are teaching King Lamoni. And they are teaching him about God and they go read the scriptures and read that we are created after God's image.
In my bad mood with a bad attitude I started thinking about Protestant faiths that believe in the trinity. Is that what they call it? I can't remember. Anyway in my bad mood I got a little angry that they reject our gospels doctrine as truth.
I'll make this argument brief.
In Genesis a prophet tells us that we are created in God's image.
Then skip a bit, Christ comes and he has a body.
When Christ is here he is baptized and God speaks and says he is pleased with his son. Now he must be a good ventriloquist if he can throw his voice like that.
And then later he prays to his Father saying, I don't really want to do this, but I will. Why is he praying to himself asking if he can just not do what he came to do?
Seriously I'm a little urked and offended that we are called the crazy ones.
I mean seriously?!?
I'm being accused of being false when I take a prophets voice over that of Constantine, who wasn't a prophet.
Gah! Frustrated. Sorry for the harsher posted. Like I said, I'm in a bad mood and feeling insulted for the criticism my church takes over our beliefs.
