Grace Versus Mercy

Yikes! Does it just not look like I've read my scriptures in a while?!?
I have just been to busy to write. Youth Conference took a lot of my time and just. Wooo. It's done.
Here is my update for now on where I am in the scriptures. Yep, still in Acts. I've really been enjoying reading it while studying the D&C and Joseph Smith. Things seem to be about the same. It seems God's people will always meet huge forces of opposition. In the chapter I finished a few days ago Peter was caught in prison, and I think Stephen had just been murdered, and miraculously Peter was led out of the prison by an angel. I sat wondering about that and wondering if all the time JS was in prison, if he was wishing the same thing would happen.
It's really interesting to compare the set up of the two. Very similar.
Since I don't have anything specific to blog about, I thought that I would go to Grace and Mercy. Two topics that I LOVE. Really just because I need both. I think sometimes people don't realize the difference between the two. I didn't.
But here is the scoop the for you.
Mercy: not getting something that you deserve. I.E. Punishment.
Grace: is getting something that you don't deserve. I.E. Exaltation
I'm grateful for both because I need Mercy more than anything ever. Everything would be hopeless without it. And I love Grace because it is such a gift and show of love.
I think I may have learned this from reading the book, Believing Christ. I'm a big fan of it. :)
