Wow, it's been a while.
Today's post is short & simple.
When I was in high school I had a seminary teacher tell me that his wife would pray everyday for the Second Coming. At the time I thought that was crazy. It seemed so scary to me. (a little secret for you, I didn't get my patriarchal blessing until I was 21 because I was scared for what it would say....weird tidbit that connects for me and I hope you see the connection.) Anyway, as time has gone by and I'm not so naive to the ways of the world, I find myself praying for that same thing.
Tidbits from today's lesson, live what you say. And the best way to show people that is to love them. Also, when I started the BoM this last time, I noticed in 1 Nephi that Nephi pointed out that his dad saw the river, but failed to notice how disgusting the water was. I really pointed out to me what a big deal it is that we don't have the Book of Lehi. I think it would have been an inspiring bit of scripture. Lehi always talked about the great tribulations he had in the wilderness & I think his book would have offered a lot of inspiration.
