Wow! I'm still not very consistent at this. At least it hasn't been months.

And, I think I will be more consistent because I am working on my personal progress, and it gives me lots to talk about it.

Today's post doesn't have anything to do with it, but is from my regular scripture study.

I'm in first Nephi, and I found this little interesting tidbit that really intrigued me.

It's Nephi comparing his vision to his dad's (Lehi) and it's subtle, so I never noticed it before.

It's from chapter 15 and here is the set up:

26 And they said unto me: What meaneth the ariver of water which our father saw?
27 And I said unto them that the awater which my father saw was bfilthiness; and so much was his mind swallowed up in other things that he beheld not the filthiness of the water.
28 And I said unto them that it was an awful agulf, which separated the wicked from the tree of life, and also from the saints of God.
29 And I said unto them that it was a representation of that awful ahell, which the angel said unto me was prepared for the wicked.

Nephi points out that his dad saw that there was a river that separated them, but missed that is was so disgusting.

I really wonder what Lehi's book would have been like. I mean come on it's Lehi. I love Nephi (particularly his 2nd book), but I can only imagine how much more I would have loved his dad. One day....

Back to Personal Progress, I may be seeking answers using this blog. It will be part of my ask other people things. And in fact look for a post here, or on my personal blog about developing a talent. I picked two that seem kind of odd, but one of them was listed as a talent, and I agree that it is one. It just seems odd. Intrigued? Good, stick around.
